Hawk Preview Days: Create Your Network—A Plan for Professional Success
Hawk Preview Days is a series of events for admitted students that are designed to help you get to know the Illinois Tech community and to picture yourself as a student here. This year we're planning a series of three Hawk Preview Day sessions in February, March, and April. Each session will be an interactive virtual experience enabling admitted students from around the world to meet one another and connect over common interests and goals.
You are welcome to attend as many sessions as you want. Sessions will take place in the evening from 6:30–8 p.m. (Central Standard Time) and are designed to be as interactive as possible
The second session, taking place March 17–19, is titled Create Your Network—A Plan for Professional Success.
Illinois Tech is an incubator that introduces you to people who are just as passionate as you are. Do you love infrastructure? Do you get excited when you take apart computers and gaming consoles? Or do you simply like talking to anyone and everyone? Through the various experiences that Illinois Tech offers, you will be able to identify what you truly enjoy and turn your hobbies into real-world experience—and potentially into a career path to follow.
In this session, you will hear from young alumni who will talk about how they were able to identify their passions and how it has led them on various journeys professionally. Keynote speakers for this session will include Sarah Kirby (B.S. Chemical Engineering '17, M.S. Biological Engineering '18; consultant at Slalom) and Ayun Brown (B.S. Electrical Engineering '17; associate engineer at ComEd).
