Spirit Week
The Office of Campus Life is sponsoring Spirit Week at Illinois Tech.
Open to everyone within the university community, the week will begin with Pi-Day on March 15 (we know, it’s a day late) and end March 20! Here is a look at the event that will take place throughout the week:
- March 15: Pi Day! Run a πK (3.14 miles) on your own time! Register below. Visit the Go Running IIT Strava club page and join to post your run and follow others. If running is not your thing, enjoy some pie in The Commons or stop by The McCormick Tribune Campus Center to write a Pi-Ku poem (a Haiku poem about math)
- March 16: Online chess competition; the winner receives a fancy chess set!
- March 17: Pajama day! You know that we are all already wearing them!
- March 18th: Floor decorating contest is judged. Floors, Greek houses, and commuter students will be given materials to decorate their halls, houses, or an MTCC space on campus. The winning group gets a dinner of their choice from Portillos, Lou Malnati’s, Giordano’s, or Maggiano’s Little Italy. Winners will be announced on March 19!
- March 19th: Spirit day! Wear Illinois Tech gear!
- March 20th: Illinois Tech first baseball game of the season! Grab some specialty popcorn in The Commons to snack on while you stream the game!
