Biomedical Engineering (B.S.)/Biomedical Imaging and Signals (M.A.S.)
Illinois Tech’s Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering/Master of Biomedical Imaging and Signals accelerated master's program allows students the unique opportunity to pursue advanced studies in biomedical imaging and signals while completing both degrees in as few as five years.
Students will be equipped with the tools needed to make a difference in impactful careers within the biotechnical industry and health care. In addition, they will learn how data analysis and computer simulations can be used to generate functional images to understand an organ or tissue and provide greater insights for clinical assessments.
Coursework for this degree program may include quantitative neural function, neuroimaging, and computer vision and image processing.

Students applying to the Accelerated Master’s Program must have completed at least 60 credit hours with at least one full semester (12 credit hours) of applicable undergraduate study at the university.
Students must be at least one full semester (12 credit hours) away from undergraduate degree completion in order to apply.
Applicants are required to have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; however, please consult individual departments for specific minimum GPA requirements.
