Our scope includes sponsored research and programs, research integrity and compliance, technology development, proposal development, and export control. We work closely with the offices of Grants and Contract Accounting and Research Administration Services.

Grant Writing Resources and Funding Opportunities
Find grant writing resources and funding opportunities for internal and external funding sources for research and creative projects. Opportunities are available for faculty and students.
Sponsored Research and Programs
Sponsored Research and Programs provides services for Illinois Tech faculty and staff on the preparation, review, approval, management, non-financial reporting requirements, and close-out procedures of research and other sponsored project proposals.
Research Integrity and Compliance
Research Integrity and Compliance ensures compliance for research projects involving human subjects, biosafety, and animal studies. It provides training for compliance in responsible conduct of research, financial conflict of interest, and laboratory safety.
Technology Management and Licensing
Technology Management and Licensing supports innovation by facilitating the transfer of the University technology and inventions into the marketplace for public use and benefit. This office protects, markets and licenses the University’s technology and inventions; promotes collaboration with industry, investors and others in the technology commercialization ecosystem; and manages university inventions and commercialization processes.
Export Compliance
The US Government controls exports of certain data, articles, technologies, services, information, equipment, software and hardware is regulated and controlled by Federal law for reasons of national security, foreign policy, and for competitive trade reasons.
Research Administration Services (RAS)
Research Administration Services (RAS) operates on a portfolio model, where each grant is assigned to one of our team members. The RAS team will monitor spending, meet regularly with stakeholders, and serve as a resource to connect researchers with administrative support throughout campus.
Grant and Contract Accounting (GCA)
Grant and Contract Accounting (GCA) provides accounting and financial compliance services for sponsored projects. In addition, GCA oversees compliance with university policies and procedures, as well as with federal and non-federal rules and regulations that are required by various funding agencies.
