Electrical Engineering (B.S.)/ Electrical Engineering (M.S.)
Illinois Tech’s Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering/Master of Science in Electrical Engineering accelerated master's program allows students the opportunity to pursue advanced studies within the field and complete both degrees in as few as five years.
The undergraduate portion of the curriculum places emphasis on both theory and practical applications of electrical engineering. The graduate portion builds a strong foundation across several areas of study, which includes communication and signal processing; computers and microelectronics; and power and control systems.
This program will prepare students to develop engineering solutions for the challenging technical problems that arise in our rapidly changing society.

Career Opportunities
The Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering/Master of Science in Electrical Engineering degree accelerated master's program will prepare you for such careers as:
- Senior advanced electrical engineer
- Research engineer (electrical engineer systems architecture)
- Electrical design engineer

Students applying to the accelerated master’s program must have completed at least 60 credit hours with at least one full semester (12 credit hours) of applicable undergraduate study at the university.
Students must be at least one full semester (12 credit hours) away from undergraduate degree completion in order to apply.
Applicants are required to have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; however, please consult individual departments for specific minimum GPA requirements.
