Law (LL.M.)/Business Administration (M.B.A.)
Enrollment in the dual Master of Laws (LL.M.)/Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree program provides the possibility for international students to select one of four available LL.M. tracks at Chicago-Kent College of Law and combine it with one of two available M.B.A. tracks—one of which is STEM designated—at Stuart School of Business.
Dual-degree program students may apply up to six credits of LL.M. coursework that is taken at Chicago-Kent toward the requirements for the M.B.A. degree to complete both degrees in two or two and a half years.
LL.M. Program Options
Students will select one of four available LL.M. tracks:
- LL.M. in U.S., International and Transnational Law, completed fully at Chicago-Kent
- LL.M. in U.S., International and Transnational Law, with an overseas training program
- LL.M. in Legal Innovation and Technology, with a focus on emerging technology
- LL.M. in Global Business and Financial Law, with a transactional focus

M.B.A. Program Options
Stuart’s M.B.A. program bridges business and technology with a focus on innovation. Both tracks cover key conceptual areas in management such as finance, strategy, operations, marketing, and leadership. The more traditional track includes elective courses to customize your degree. The M.B.A. Business Analytics track is STEM-designated and includes a strong emphasis on developing analytical and quantitative skills.

Program Overview
The dual Master of Laws (LL.M.)/Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree program allows students to obtain an LL.M. degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law and an M.B.A. degree from Stuart School of Business in two or two and a half years; it generally takes three years to earn the two degrees independently.
Students in the LL.M./M.B.A. dual-degree program may apply up to six credits of LL.M. coursework that is taken at Chicago-Kent toward the requirements for the M.B.A. degree to complete both degrees in two or two and a half years.
Each LL.M. degree program requires 24 credit hours for completion.

Candidates for the dual LL.M./M.B.A. program must apply to and be accepted by each program separately. Admission information for the LL.M. program is available from the Chicago-Kent Office of Admission and for the M.B.A. program from Stuart School of Business.
Stuart Scholarships
Students pursuing the Stuart School of Business M.B.A. degree who demonstrate a continuing commitment to innovation are eligible to apply for the Chicago Innovation Scholarship, which in academic year 2024–25 awards up to $14,000 for the degree program. Learn more about Stuart scholarships.
