Why did you choose your major/what do you want to do with your degree?
I chose this major because I have a passion in chemistry and math and thought it would be a great combination of both. In the future, I want to go into wastewater treatments and hope to improve upon the environmental impacts of them.
What is your favorite thing about the Camras Scholars Program?
I love the community within it. I met my roommate at Symposium and am so grateful for the opportunities Camras has brought.
Where do you see yourself in 20 years?
I see myself either working in a wastewater treatment plant with stable hours or working as a chemistry high school teacher with engineering experience so I can be there for my family and be doing something I am passionate about.
How do you think you best represent what it means to be a Camras scholar?
I have been the Mentor-Mentee coordinator for two semesters on AIChE's executive board and I am currently the Non-Executive Educator in Kappa Phi Delta. Within Kappa, the executive educator and I are making some changes in order to ensure cultural understanding and a higher focus on academics.
