Why did you choose your major/what do you want to do with your degree?
I chose my major in Psychology because I find it a very fascinating subject and am interested in possibly pursuing Psychiatry after medical school. I have long been interested in topics such as neuroscience and mental health, and have participated in many related opportunities in the past. Psychology is a major that allows me to further explore and develop my interests in these realms while also preparing for medical school.
What is your favorite thing about the Camras Scholars Program?
My favorite thing about the Camras Scholars Program is being able to form connections with similar-minded and very driven students across all different majors. The friendships I've formed through Camras have been great so far and I hope to get to know even more scholars and expand my network through this program!
Where do you see yourself in 20 years?
In 20 years, I see myself as a fulfilled and passionate physician, working hard to serve the needs of those in my community and beyond, as well as provide valuable healthcare and medical services to everyone that I can.
How do you think you best represent what it means to be a Camras scholar?
I am co-leading my Pillar Project once again this year, alongside some of my fellow Camras scholars. Our project is geared towards raising awareness and de-stigmatizing mental health. It is known as the Out of the Darkness Campus Walk and will take place in early 2024, for a second round after its revival! I am very excited to be working on this project and hope that it contributes positively to student life on and off campus!
