Why did you choose your major/what do you want to do with your degree?
The never-ending learning opportunity the cybersecurity industry and community have provided has made me gravitate toward the discipline. I was fortunate enough to gain early exposure to the phenomenal mentorship within the community and am eager to give back.
What is your favorite thing about the Camras Scholars Program?
As a former executive board member, my favorite aspect of the CSP program is the service-oriented and initiative-driven community of scholars. Even with busy academic workloads, there are always scholars willing to donate time and effort toward something bigger than themselves.
Where do you see yourself in 20 years?
In 20 years I'd love to be in a position of mentorship to continuously give back to my local and global community. Ideally, it would be somewhere within the cybersecurity industry to bring professional growth opportunities to my community similar to what I had in my upbringing.
How do you think you best represent what it means to be a Camras scholar?
I was part of the team to push the CSP website towards development through my position on the CSP executive board. Through this, I formed a small community of scholars interested in bettering the program and providing professional opportunities to our peers.
