Women’s Volleyball Team, SEES, EWB
Why did you choose your major/what do you want to do with your degree?
I chose Civil Engineering for its broadness throughout the field since I didn’t know what engineering I wanted to pursue. Environmental Engineering stood out to me because I am an advocate for sustainability, renewable energy, and helping our planet and society. I hope to take my knowledge from engineering and pursue a career in a non-profit organization that cares about environmental justice, and I hope to start a journey of conservation efforts around the world.
What is your favorite thing about the Camras Scholars Program?
My favorite thing about the Program was my ability to pursue the Co-Terminal program and keep my scholarship throughout my graduate classes.
Where do you see yourself in 20 years?
I couldn’t tell you. I have numerous passions, I could be an author of many books, a podcast host, a businesswoman, a spiritual leader/coach, a conservation leader, a park ranger, and the list goes on!
How do you think you best represent what it means to be a Camras scholar?
I believe that navigating my volleyball journey has taught me immense lessons in life. As someone who has experienced physical limitations and pain(affecting both volleyball and my architecture degree), I believe I have developed a great deal of empathy, positivity, and leadership skills. As a leader it is crucial to understand those around you to achieve success.
