Why did you choose your major/what do you want to do with your degree?

In high school, I met some architects through the ACE Mentor Program. Participating in ACE made me realize architecture would be an excellent way to combine my interests in both art and science.

What is your favorite thing about the Camras Scholars Program?

The best thing about the Camras Scholars Program is that it creates connections between a group of like-minded scholars from diverse backgrounds.

Where do you see yourself in 20 years?

I hope to use my skills to advocate for good design and show others the value it adds to our lives and communities.

How do you think you best represent what it means to be a Camras scholar?

It is important for students to support each other throughout their education and act as resources for one another. This belief lead me to serve on the chapter boards of both the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) and NOMAS, and be a guest lecturer and peer mentor at the College of Architecture. I also promote careers in the building industry to younger students, through coordinating NOMA Illinois' Project Pipeline summer camps.
