Community Book Club: First Lie Wins

Are you looking to connect with others? Do you love reading all kinds of books? If you answered yes, the Community Book Club is for you!

This month’s book is First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston. This fast-paced read has everything you could want in a thriller: secret identities, a mysterious boss, and a cat and mouse game that will keep you guessing the whole way through.

Evie Porter has everything a nice, Southern girl could want: a perfect, doting boyfriend; a house with a white picket fence and a garden; and a fancy group of friends. The only catch: Evie Porter doesn’t exist.

The identity comes first: Evie Porter. Once she’s given a name and location by her mysterious boss Mr. Smith, she learns everything there is to know about the town and the people in it. Then the mark: Ryan Sumner. The last piece of the puzzle is the job.

The Community Book Club will meet via Zoom on April 11 and May 25 from 6–7:30 p.m.
