Description:
In this talk, I will start a recent mathematical model that predicts the plaque formation by using the combined levels of (LDL, HDL) in the blood. The model is described by a system of partial differential equations with a free boundary. Then some numerical methods will be discussed to solve the free boundary problem while some mathematical questions, inspired by the cardiovascular disease, will be introduced. I will also briefly mention some related applications of this computational modeling approach in the cardiovascular risk prediction and classification coupled with machine learning.
