The Congestion Control Modeling in Satellite Networks
Description
Congestion control algorithms were implemented for the internet about two decades ago, however mathematical models of congestion control are relatively newer. This seminar mainly presents fluid flow models for the TCP/AQM (Transmission Control Protocol/Active Queue Management) scheme which can yield prediction that match well the TCP networks and further help to make Internet data transfers virtually less jammed. Introduced are tools from stochastic processes and optimization control theory to the study of congestion control algorithms. So that the congestion control modeling in IP-based broadband satellite networks could be probed further according to the characteristic satellite networks.
