EDF Fellowship Program Presentation
EDF will be giving a presentation on its fellowship program, EDF Climate Corps, on Thursday, October 25 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in the DTC Room 470.
EDF Climate Corps Fellowship Program is a 10 to 12 week program in the summer during which fellows will have the opportunity to work with leading companies and public-sector organizations to reduce energy use, increase efficiencies, and make the business case for sustainability. U.S. Fellows are paid $1,250 per week and reimbursed for travel expenses to the EDF Climate Corps Training and the annual EDF Climate Corps network event. EDF has hired students from Stuart and Illinois Tech in the recent past and this is a great opportunity for students to interact with representatives from EDF EDF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. They are one of the world's largest environmental organizations, with more than two million members and a staff of 700 scientists, economists, policy experts, and other professionals around the world. They've played key roles in driving the science and advocacy that led to federal action toward reducing climate-harming methane emissions, introducing a management system that has dramatically reduced the amount of overfishing in the United States, and persuading companies, such as Walmart and McDonald's, to adopt environmentally friendly business practices.
MBA, MPA, SMgt and BSBA students are encouraged to attend and take advantage of this great opportunity. All interested students must register to claim their spot.
