Description
Abstract: The Poisson-Nernst-Planck (PNP) equation is a coupled non-linear system of equations used to model ions transport in ions channels. In this work a finite difference scheme that preserve the energy law at a discrete level is of interest. The algorithm is second order in space and we present here the progress made, the challenges encountered and our future directions.
