A Finite Difference Scheme for the Poisson-Nernst-Plank Equations that Conserves the Energy Law
Description
Our study aims to find out under which condition a numerical method preserves the energy dissipation law of a system. in this case the system is ions transport in ions channels. We will investigate the possibility to preserve the energy dissipation law exactly instead of the mass and study the effect of the conservation on long-term behavior of the simulation.
