Internships and Career Opportunities - Securities Exchange Commission
Jennifer Spicher will be giving a presentation on internships and career opportunities at the Securities and Exchange Commission on Tuesday, April 2 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in DTC Room 470. The SEC is looking to recruit undergraduates and graduates for the following majors: Accounting/Economics/Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, Mathematics/Statistics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Public Administration, and Marketing/Communications.
Jennifer Spicher is an Exam Manager at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. She handles information regarding trading data, compliance manuals, client lists, investments, employees, performance ads, marketing, and all firm agreements. She also previously worked as a Staff Accountant as the SEC, and has spent almost 16 years with the Commission.
The SEC is responsible for enforcing federal securities laws and regulating the securities industry, along with national stock and options exchanges, and other electronic securities markets in the United States. They currently have divisions in the following categories; corporation finance, trading and markets, investment management, enforcement, risk and economic analysis.
