Meet the CEO Event: Andrew W. Richardson of Greeley and Hansen
Join us in welcoming Andrew W. Richardson, Chief Executive Officer of Greeley and Hansen, a large water and wastewater engineering firm headquartered in Chicago, to campus for an informal discussion with students. The event is sponsored by the Illinois Water Environment Association (IWEA), Illinois Section American Water Works Association (ISAWWA) and the Central States Water Environment Association (CSWEA) Student and Young Professional Committees.

Speaker Bio
Andrew W. Richardson is Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Chief Executive Officer of Greeley and Hansen, the only international environmental engineering firm specializing in water and wastewater headquartered in Chicago. He oversees all business operations and directs implementation of the firm’s strategic plan, as well as leads the firm’s Executive Management Team. Greeley and Hansen has been consistently recognized by the National Association for Business Resources as one of the “101 Best & Brightest Companies to Work For” in Chicago and has also been named a “Top Workplace” for several years by the Chicago Tribune.
Prior to being named CEO, Mr. Richardson was the Director of Greeley and Hansen’s Southwestern Operations and served as a project director and project manager for Greeley and Hansen projects across the country. During his more than 37 years at Greeley and Hansen, Mr. Richardson has been involved in almost every aspect of an engineering project – from feasibility studies through construction and start-up commissioning – and has worked on major wastewater, water reuse, and water projects from coast to coast, including the New York City’s 300-mgd Newtown Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade and the City of Los Angeles’ LA-Glendale Water Reclamation Plant Expansion, to the City of Phoenix’ 80-mgd Lake Pleasant Water Treatment Plant.
In addition to his extensive project engineering experience, Mr. Richardson is actively involved in numerous local and national professional associations and societies, and he has served in many key executive committee and leadership positions, including the American Water Works Association, U.S. Water Alliance, and the Water Environment Federation.
