MMAE Seminar - Graduate Seminar Orientation and MMAE Lab Safety

Join the Mechanical, Materials, and Aerospace Engineering department for a seminar featuring Dr. Keith Bowman, Department Chair and Duchossois Leadership Professor of Materials Engineering, Dr. Sudhakar Nair, Associate Chair, Professor of Mechanical Engineering & Aerospace Engineering, Professor of Applied Mathematics, and Graduate Studies Committee Chair, and Dr. Matthew Spenko, Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering. Dr. Bowman will speak about the construction that is taking place in E1, touching base on the importance of following safety signs, staying out of construction areas, and how to find and exit in the event of an emergency. Dr. Nair will review the MMAE Seminar rules that are outlined in the MMAE Guide to Graduate Studies. Dr. Spenko will outline the MMAE lab safety policies such as what training is needed to work in a lab, what safety equipment to wear, and who to contact in the event of an emergency.
