Description

The Standard Model of physics is wildly successful in understanding and predicting the effects of the electromagnetic, strong and weak forces of Nature. Yet, a theoretical ambiguity in the Higgs mass drives us to look for physics beyond the Standard Model. In the absence of evidence for new physics, the searches move to higher energy and higher precision. In this talk, Sullivan will describe some Illinois Tech theoretical efforts to improve these searches.
