Illinois Institute of Technology, Applied Mathematics Department
Description
The speaker considers two separate interactions of Probability and Algebra. First, the speaker studies Erdos-Renyi-type random monomial ideals and their properties. The speaker will also briefly touch on applying a well-known randomized algorithm to problems in Computational Algebra.
