Tau Beta Pi - Engineering Futures: Analytical Problem Solving Seminar

All engineering students are invited to join Tau Beta Pi for Engineering Futures: Analytical Problem Solving. At this seminar Tau Bates will share how to master the art of brainstorming to generate creative solutions by utilizing the following tools:

The Problem Solving Model
Create, implement, and evaluate the success of a plan based on identified issues, root causes, and solutions.

Advanced Creativity
Get out of a mental rut by thinking creatively to generate a large and varied list of ideas.

List Reduction
Narrow the large list down to a few best ideas, using various techniques such as clarifying issues, creating selection criteria, removing non-controversial ideas, and using consensus. The seminar will be filled with group activities where students work together to solve a particular task.
