Anand’s Chapter Published by Psychology Press
Smriti Anand, Assistant Professor of Management, had a chapter published in “Idiosyncratic Deals between Employees and Organizations: Conceptual Issues, Applications, and the Role of Coworkers” (Psychology Press). Anand’s chapter, “Idiosyncratic deals in the context of workgroups,” is co-authored by Dr. Prajya Vidyarthi (University of Texas at El Paso).
The book is part of a series on current issues in work and organizational psychology, and is designed to address the state of the art in research and development on idiosyncratic deals, or i-deals. I-deals are individual agreements negotiated between employees and their organizations, and have gained increasing popularity since the publication of the book of Rousseau (2005) on i-deals. Each chapter in the book is written by a team of researchers and is meant to discuss different conceptual issues, and approach the concept from multiple perspectives to gain greater understanding of the concept and its place within the broader relationship between employees and their organizations.
