Anand’s Chapter on Relational Leadership to be Included in Oxford Handbook

Date

Smriti Anand, Assistant Professor of Management, co-wrote the chapter “LMX Differentiation: Understanding Relational Leadership at the Group Level,” to be published in the The Oxford Handbook of Leader-Member Exchange, edited by Dr. Talya Bauer & Dr. Berrin Erdogan (Portland State University) and published by Oxford University Press.

This book is intended to provide a critical review of the current state of research and advance the future direction of scholarly debate on leader-member exchange. Oxford Handbooks are used not only by scholars within the leadership research community but also by researchers in economics, psychology, anthropology and other diverse areas. Each chapter in the book is written by an esteemed team of researchers and is meant to provide a critical overview of a particular aspect of leader-member exchange theory.

Anand’s co-authors are Dr. Prajya Vidyarthi (University of Texas at El Paso) and Ms. Haesang Park (University of Illinois at Chicago), and their chapter focuses on illustrating the dynamics of dyadic-level leadership in the context of workgroups – a phenomenon particularly relevant to today’s increasingly team-oriented organizations.
