Armour ECE Alumni Named CEO of The Chicago Stock Exchange
Armour College of Engineering is proud to announce that John Kerin, an alumni of Armour’s Electrical Engineering program has just been named the CEO of the Chicago Stock Exchange. Read an excerpt from the official press release below:
The Chicago Stock Exchange, Inc. (CHX) today announced that Dave Herron, its Chief Executive Officer, would be stepping down effective April 18, 2014, and that John Kerin, its President and Chief Operating Officer, would take over as Chief Executive Officer.
John Kerin, who joined CHX 25 years ago, has progressed through the ranks of the technology and operations areas of the Exchange. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration, both from the Illinois Institute of Technology. Kerin, in accepting the appointment, said: “I am honored to have the opportunity to lead this institution. With the accomplishments under Dave Herron’s leadership and the strong executive team that he leaves behind, we will remain focused on enhancing the value we provide our shareholders and Participants. I look forward to building for the future with the board and my CHX colleagues.”
