Finance Alum Receives National Grant from Ministry of Education of China
Alumnus Kun Li (Ph.D. Finance ‘15), an Assistant Professor of Finance at Beijing Normal University, has been selected to receive a national grant from the Ministry of Education of China (RMB 200,000). This grant is for Teaching and Education Reform of Central Universities in China. The Ministry of Education of China launched the University Curriculum Revolution, in order to encourage teaching innovation and enrich the educational resources for universities in China. In this national education plan, Dr. Li is appointed as the principal designer and instructor to develop a national-level elaborate course on financial modeling. The course will be archived in the national open course platform and adopted by universities in China.
Dr. Li is the first Illinois Tech alumnus to receive this grant.
