Illinois Tech and College of DuPage Form Guaranteed Admission Agreement

Illinois Tech and College of DuPage have formed a Guaranteed Admission Agreement, which will provide COD students a seamless transfer path to select Illinois Tech undergraduate degrees, including tracks for Illinois Tech’s College of Architecture and its Armour College of Engineering.

“At Illinois Tech we are always seeking ways to make top-quality educational opportunities available to the broadest number of students possible,” says Peter Kilpatrick, Illinois Tech’s provost. “Our partnership with College of DuPage offers not only an easy transition but also financial incentives to support students on their path to success.”

Under the agreement, Illinois Tech will accept applications from College of DuPage students who are pursuing associate of arts or associate of science degrees. Eligible students may concurrently enroll at both institutions, and Illinois Tech applicants will take Illinois Tech gateway courses while enrolled at COD, the largest public community college in the state of Illinois. These courses will be offered through Illinois Tech’s FastForward to Illinois Tech Program at a highly discounted rate of $100 per credit hour. Additionally, COD students accepted to Illinois Tech through the new agreement will be offered a special IIT Scholarship of $25,000 with full-time enrollment.

Illinois Tech’s campuses include Mies Campus in Chicago’s Bronzeville neighborhood, a Downtown Campus, and its suburban Rice Campus in Wheaton and Moffett Campus in Bedford Park. The proximity of Illinois Tech’s campus in Wheaton to Glen Ellyn, where COD is located, provides an added bonus, giving students the ability to complete their studies in DuPage County, says COD Provost Mark Curtis-Chávez.
