INTM Announces New Faculty for Fall 2015
The Industrial Technology and Management Program (INTM) is pleased to announce that Dr. Gurram Gopal is now a full-time Industry Professor in the department. INTM also welcomes two new Adjunct Faculty members, Robert Dunn and Gregory Stobbe, SPHR, J.D.
Dr. Gopal has been Adjunct Faculty with INTM since 2003. His professional career includes development of marketing strategies for some of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies including ZS Associates and Tellabs, Inc. He holds a PhD and Master’s in Operations Research from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, and a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Madras, India. He also has several professional certificates in ISO, CMM and Applied Statistics and Forecasting. In addition to teaching for INTM, Dr. Gopal will work with students on Special Projects and Research.
Dr. Gopal is an experienced Professor, and a widely published author and presenter in conferences worldwide. His expertise is in global sourcing, data synchronization, and customer relationship management in the logistics industry. He has received many teaching awards and grants for his academic work and professional projects. He received a Fulbright Scholarship to teach and conduct research at Galway Mayo Institute of Technology in Ireland in 2011-12. He was recently selected as a Fulbright Specialist candidate for 2013 to 2018 by the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board (FFSB), the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs (ECA), and the Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES).
Mr. Dunn brings extensive experience as a Supply Chain Executive to INTM, and his course on Warehousing and Distribution. He has held many positions in industry ranging from VP of Supply Chain to Director of Procurement, Inventory, and Sourcing for various global manufacturers and distributors.
Mr. Stobbe is an HR Executive as well as an attorney, licensed to practice in Illinois. In his Human Resource Management class for INTM, he will draw upon his skills and experience in many areas of organizational development including performance and change management, talent recruitment and retention, start-ups, transformation, and workforce analytics.
