INTM Industry Professor Will Maurer Speaks to DuPage County Manufacturers

On October 4, 2012 the Daily Herald Business Ledger held its Newsmakers' Forum on Manufacturing and International Business at IIT's Rice Campus in Wheaton. INTM Industry Associate Professor, Will Maurer, was one of a panel of speakers addressing smart policies for manufacturing and innovation.Speaking to a crowd of more than 100 suburban business owners and entrepreneurs, he drew upon his experience as a Project Manager and Consultant in Operations for a variety of industrial companies, as well as his work as an instructor to INTM students seeking to combine their technical skills with management principles.He focused on the need for increased collaboration between industry and education, as workers are being increasingly called upon to use both their minds and their hands.
