Luncheon Kicks-Off the 2014-15 Board of Overseers Mentorship Program

The Board of Overseers Mentorship Program officially kicked off with the 2014-15 Opening Luncheon on October 22. Now in its second year, the mentorship program celebrated an increase in applicants, students selected, and mentors participating.

At the luncheon, mentors and mentees spent time becoming better acquainted and hearing from Program Manager Lisa Harris, Graduate Academic Advisor. Harris outlined the expectations of the program, IIT Stuart’s philosophy on the mentorship relationship, and the school’s hopes for student participants over the course of the year.

Mentees are selected based upon their academic achievements, professional background, the clarity of their future goals, and the strength of their applications. Mentees include both undergraduate and graduate IIT Stuart students.
