Michael Davis publishes opinion piece

Professor of Philosophy Michael Davis has a new opinion piece, “Expert Opinion of Michael Davis: The Death Penalty," published in Abandon the Death Penalty to Civilization, which came out in September and is edited by the Taipei Bar Association. Davis also participated via Google Hangout in a May 1, 2015 Simulated Constitutional Court event related to the journal's publication, organized by the former Grand Justice of Taiwan’s Constitutional Court, Dr. Yushyo Hsu, with sponsorship from the Taipei Bar Association. According to Davis, the "moot court" event is performed by legal professionals and respected citizens, and its purpose is to tackle controversial constitutional issues the real Constitutional Court has not dealt with. "It also seeks to demonstrate the highest quality of rational debates to the society, so as to set examples for the confused and agitated public," Davis says.
