Scarlet Hawks Women’s Lacrosse Named IWLCA Honor Squad

The Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced its 2018 Academic Honor Roll and Honor Squad award winners, naming Illinois Tech’s women’s lacrosse team as an Honor Squad recipient. The IWLCA also recognized three student-athletes—Christian Jones (MBB 4th Year), Isabella Rubin (ME 3rd Year), and Jennifer Young (CE 3rd Year)—with Honor Roll distinction.

To qualify, teams were required to post a 3.0 grade point average for the academic year. Student-athletes must be juniors, seniors, or graduate students and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or higher. 

Jones, Rubin, and Young also were named to the Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference All-Academic Team earlier this summer, along with teammates Alyssa DeLuca, Marina Eraas, Karen Juricic, and Shanie Scoles.
