Sleep and Eating Behaviors Study
Researchers in the Eating Behaviors Lab in the Department of Psychology are conducting a study that aims to understand associations between sleep and appetite among women. Females at least 18 years old are potentially eligible to participate in this study. Interested participants must complete an online eligibility questionnaire and may be asked to complete a phone eligibility interview.
Study Details and Compensation
If eligible, participants will complete online questionnaires followed by a 12-hour fast, either one night of typical sleep or deprived sleep, and a two-hour morning lab visit at the Eating Behaviors Lab. Participants will also be asked to complete an online questionnaire the evening following the morning lab visit.
Participants will be compensated with $30 and Illinois Tech students can instead opt for 2.5 Sona credits. Participants who complete the follow-up questionnaire will be compensated an additional $10 or .5 Sona credits.
Location
This study will take place in the Eating Behaviors Lab which is located at 3424 S. State Street, Tech South, Room 1A7-1, on the first floor.
