Soc Sci Professors collaborate with European Union Center

Department of Social Sciences Professors Patrick Ireland and Rebecca Steffenson participated in a two-day conference held by the European Union Center on January 16 and 17, at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. The event, titled "Researching and Teaching the EU: Best Practices and Current Trends in EU Scholarship," was aimed at strengthening the regional network of professors of EU studies. Steffenson, an Industry Associate Professor of Political Science, co-organized the conference, and also presented on EU foreign policy on Thursday, January 16. Ireland, a Professor of Political Science, presented findings from his research on the growing trend of emigration from Ireland on January 17.
