STAC Summit Welcomes Industry Leaders to Campus

The Securities Technology Analysis Center (STAC) Research Summit on November 4 brought together industry leaders to discuss business issues and technical trends. Dean Harvey Kahalas kicked off the event by welcoming attendees to IIT Downtown Campus.

Benjamin Van Vliet, Assistant Professor of Finance; Ricky Cooper, Assistant Professor of Finance; and finance adjunct instructor Marat Molyboga hosted the IIT Mini-Symposium on Algo Trading Management. They presented on studies involving ethical high frequency trading strategies, the effects of high frequency trading on the market and potential disadvantages to low frequency traders, and the predictable skills among commodity traders.
