Stuart Advisor Presents at NACADA Regional Conference

IIT Stuart Graduate Academic Advisor Lisa Harris presented at the National Association of Academic Advising (NACADA)’s regional conference this past weekend, discussing the “Challenges of Advising Chinese International Students.”

Harris and colleague Sarah Meaney from Miami University of Ohio reviewed relevant research on cultural competency and the international student experience as it relates to advising, provided tools for learning about students’ backgrounds and experiences, and discussed strategies for effectively advising this rapidly growing segment of the student population.
