This list is presented in no particular order. Neither the OGS nor the Office of General Counsel recommends a specific attorney on this list, and it is not a requirement that employees or departments use an attorney on this list. However, use of one of these attorneys does not require any prior screening and approval by the university.
Although the attorneys below have generally achieved positive outcomes for employees and departments of the university, such prior results are not a guarantee that any one of the listed attorneys will be successful in filing you or your employee’s application for permanent residency or other immigration-related applications. Each application is unique and dependent on its particular facts and circumstances, as well as the then-existing interpretation and application of federal immigration laws and regulations by the relevant federal agencies and officials. It must also be noted that each attorney will have different pricing schedules, and OGS and the Office of General Counsel cannot, and does not, guarantee that each employee will pay the same amount to file.

To initiate such consideration, please email the attorney’s name, firm name, phone number, website, and email to the Office of Global Services scholar adviser. The Office of Global Services and the Office of General Counsel will review the request to confirm that the attorney and their firm have appropriately relevant experience and have had no conflicts with the university and to ensure that no business considerations exist that preclude using the attorney. The Office of Global Services will notify the Illinois Institute of Technology department or employee of the outcome of this review.
