Dear Campus Resident,
Welcome to residence life at Illinois Tech! The Office of Residence Life is responsible for building a sense of community, providing students with opportunities for engagement, responding to student crises, and managing the residential student conduct process. We are also responsible for the housing selection process, room assignments, work orders, and billing. Our talented staff members and student leaders are committed to serving you and working with you to create an atmosphere conducive to academic, intellectual, social, and emotional growth. The residence halls are a place that we hope you will be proud to call your home while at Illinois Tech.
Whether you are a new or returning student, Office of Residence Life professional staff members, along with resident advisers (RA), the Residence Hall Association, community desk staff members, and orientation teams, will help you meet other students, learn your way around, and become involved in campus life. Being part of the on-campus community means more than just residing within four walls. Living within the residence halls provides opportunities for interpersonal interactions with other students, faculty, and staff members; access to campus resources; provides direct links to all university technology systems; and above all else, it provides a connection to the campus community as well as the city of Chicago.
