Wherever you want to go, when it comes to transportation, Illinois Tech puts you in the center of it all. Because of our close proximity to downtown Chicago, you'll find an abundance of transportation options on and around Mies Campus.
Every Illinois Tech undergraduate student receives a Ventra U-Pass, which gives you unlimited access to CTA public transportation citywide. Both the Green Line and Red Line "L" (elevated trains) have stops next to campus, taking you throughout the metro area, including to both O'Hare and Midway airports. Several city bus stops on and around campus also connect you with your destination.
Prefer two wheels? Purchase a special Divvy pass for students, which allows unlimited bicycle rides throughout the city. Several Divvy stations are located on or near campus.
If you're headed even farther, the Metra commuter train runs from the city to the suburbs and as far north as Wisconsin. A Rock Island District Line Metra station is located at the west end of our campus.
View directions to each of Illinois Tech's four campus locations, in addition to campus maps, building codes, and parking lots.
Planning to drive to campus? In addition to street parking, Illinois Tech operates several secure parking lots for drivers who purchase a parking pass. Passes are administrated through Access, Card, and Parking Services.
Illinois Tech's Office of Public Safety provides a free escort service to individuals who would like to be accompanied on campus and to select locations off campus.
