Create a Quiz

To create a Quiz in Canvas:

1. Open your course.
2. Go to "Quizzes" on the left-side menu.
3. Click the "+Quiz" button on the upper right side of the screen.
4. Add a title and description to your Quiz.
5. Set points possible.
6. Review additional settings and click "Build" to start building your Quiz questions.
7. Type a title and instructions for your Quiz panel if you wish.
8. To add questions to your Quiz, click the blue plus icon on the middle of the screen.
9. In the question type drop-down menu, you can create various types of quiz questions such as Multiple Choice, True/False, Fill-in-the-Blank, etc. 
10. To set the point value for the question, enter the points in the pts field.
11. To save your question, click the "Update Question" button.
12. To view questions details, click the "Show Question Details" checkbox.
13. Click the "Save" button to save your work and preview the quiz.
14. When done, click on the "Return" button at the top to go back to the module that has your Quiz in it.

✏️Note: Quiz questions are not automatically numbered for instructors. To add a custom name to your quiz question, enter the name in the question text field. Custom names can help you identify quiz questions more easily.

✏️Note: If you are ready to publish your quiz and make it available to students, click the "Save & Publish" button. Click the "Preview" button to see what students will see when they take the quiz. If the preview shows the quiz the way you want it, click the "Publish" button.
