Gifts from industrial technology and management (INTM) alumni and friends have an immediate impact, helping current students achieve their educational goals and new students to make the commitment to expand their horizons, both personally and professionally. Financial support makes a difference to all students.
Did you know that you can make a contribution to specifically benefit INTM students?
A donation to Illinois Tech, designated for the Keith E. McKee Scholarship Fund, enables INTM to offer financial assistance to students who do not qualify for full-time scholarships and/or who have special circumstances.
Thank you to everyone who has supported INTM students through scholarship donations. The support of our alumni, faculty, friends, and industry partners is especially appreciated.
Keith E. McKee Scholarship Fund
The INTM scholarship fund is named in honor of Keith E. McKee, a dedicated Illinois Institute of Technology alumnus (CE ’50, M.S. ’56, Ph.D. ’62) who founded of the BINTM program in 1994 after a 30-year career at IIT Research Institute. McKee believed strongly in the importance of practical experience in industry as an essential component of a student’s education. He designed the BINTM program as a 2+2 program to serve individuals who had at least two years of technical coursework from an associate of applied science program or an equivalent course of study. The BINTM program built to complement a student’s technical background and focused on preparing them to address a range of operational issues and acquire the managerial skills required by industry. Access to an affordable education was equally important to McKee, thus he created the INTM scholarship fund for part-time undergraduate students. The scholarship was renamed in his honor after his passing in May 2010.
