The Industrial Technology and Management (INTM) program provides students with a broad knowledge of industrial technologies and operational activities, with an emphasis on the managerial and communication skills required to effectively manage operations, personnel, and resources.
The Bachelor of Industrial Technology and Management (BINTM) serves students who have two years of credit toward an associate of applied science or associate of science degree at a community college or who are in an accredited technical training program. Students are technical specialists, many of whom are employed in manufacturing, construction, facilities, or supply chain/logistics, and who recognize the importance of obtaining a bachelor’s degree in order to maximize their career opportunities.
Through partnerships with Chicago industry leaders, the INTM program is responsive to industry trends and meets both student and employer needs.
As the only tech-focused university in Chicago, Illinois Tech is uniquely positioned to offer students the opportunities that will prepare them to qualify for supervisory and managerial positions. An INTM education offers students the chance to develop direct relationships with companies; take part in plant tours; complete projects focusing on real-world issues with faculty who have vast industry experience; or attend seminars, conferences, and similar activities with professional organizations.
