Industry partners play an important role in the advancement and education of Industrial Technology and Management (INTM) program students. Our connections with industry help ensure that the INTM program is responsive to industry trends and meets both student and employer needs.
The INTM program was established in 1994 to help individuals expand their managerial skills and learn how to achieve more efficient operations. The late Keith E. McKee (CE ’50, M.S. ’56, Ph.D. ’62) created the original curriculum with
direct input from Chicago-area manufacturers, and worked with Richard J. Daley College to establish an educational pathway from the community college to Illinois Tech.
Over the years industry leaders have helped to expand the INTM curriculum to serve students working in supply chain and logistics, industrial facilities management, and construction management.
